At PIVOTAL DANCE we strive to provide a fun, creative and professional environment where students are encouraged to develop, not only their dance ability, but to gain valuable life skills such as teamwork, dedication and to forge lasting friendships. From our youngest dancers who enjoy the READY SET DANCE or READY SET ACRO, Junior and Senior students dancing purely for fun and fitness as well as the more serious student wishing to excel with involvement in competitions and examinations, everyone is important at PIVOTAL DANCE. For students wishing to further their dance education during and beyond their high school years, we offer the ELEVATE programme offering nationally recognized qualifications in Dance and Dance Teaching and Management.

Meet The Team

CHANTELLE SMEDA

DIRECTOR/PRINCIPAL

Chantelle is responsible for PDPA competitive teams and heads our AERIAL programme , DIRECTOR and choreographer/creative designer behind CREATIVE MOTION youth circus company - who have enjoyed highly successful seasons performing in Adelaide Fringe for several years now.

Chantelle passionately believes that all students deserve a time to shine and strives to develop that ethos throughout her team with an emphasis on individual development, fostering a family atmosphere by being interested in every student and celebrating every achievement, small or large.

SUSAN COOKE

RAD Life Member

RAD Registered

Dip. A.B.S.

Susan leads our ballet programme and mentors up and coming ballet teachers within our studio along with preparing students for RAD BALLET EXAMS. With a deep love for the art and drawing on many years of training and performance experience Susan now fosters a love of ballet in her students.

PIPER DEAN

PIPER leads our beginner aerial programme with a strong background in both acrobatic and aerial skills including silks, lyra, trapeze.

She has been a long standing member of the CREATIVE MOTION youth circus company - performing in various shows at Adelaide Fringe including MAROONED and CR8 along with BEND THE AIR - Circus competition

BRIANNA BART

QUALIFIED DANCE TEACHING AND MANAGEMENT

Brianna brings a wealth of experience to her classes - leading our Seaford ballet programme, along with MINIS, jazz, tap, contemporary and hip hop at both studios. With a nurturing nature she encourages individual development in her students and is much loved by families

RACHAEL ROWETT

DIPLOMA DANCE TEACHING AND MANAGEMENT/ ACROBATIC ARTS TEACHER/GOLD LEVEL READY SET DANCE TEACHER.

Having trained with PDPA and been a part of our senior performance teams, Rachael has broad experience across multiple genres and now leads our ACROBATIC ARTS programmes at both Seaford and Brighton. She is also a Gold Ready Set Dance teacher - leading our Seaford programme, where her enthusiasm and care are greatly appreciated by families.

SASKIA MCGRANE

PHARMACIST/SENIOR CHOREOGRAPHER HIP HOP

Whilst having an extensive background in all genres, iincluding training with ADT, Saskia's particular passion is HIP HOP. She now leads our HIP HOP PERFORMANCE TEAMS at Brighton where her eye for detail and creative choreography inspire both senior and junior students.

JAYMIE LECHOWICZ

DIPLOMA DANCE TEACHING AND MANAGEMENT

GOLD TEACHER READY SET DANCE/ACRO

With strong skills in jazz, hip hop, contemporary - but with a special love of HIP HOP Jaymie now assists with our competitive hip hop teams and teaches mutliple genres in our recreational classes. Her warmth and imagination make her a great teacher for our BRIGHTON Ready set Dance classes as well as running our MINIS programme .

SCHENISE BRUNO

GOLD LEVEL READY SET DANCE/ACRO/BALLET

With a broad experience across all genres, Schenise is now a valued member of our team - leading various Ready Set Dance/ Acro and ballet classes at Brighton.

Her warmth and enthusiasm are much appreciated by parents and students.

BLUE SERIOUS

READY SET DANCE ASSISTANT/ ACROBATIC ARTS TRAINED.

With many years of experience across mutliple genres and having successfully competed across multiple events, including Aerial Circus events such as BEND THE AIR, Blue now assists with our Ready Set Dance programme along with our junior programme at Brighton studio. She has been a regular member of our CREATIVE MOTION youth circus team - performing in various shows in Gluttony for Adelaide Fringe.

BRIDGETTE AUGUSTIN

READY SET DANCE ASSISTANT/AERIAL TRAINING ASSISTANT

Although trained in multiple genres of dance, Bridgette now is focused on our READY SET DANCE/ACRO and AERIAL programmes where she assists across multiple classes at our Seaford venue. As a regular member of the CREATIVE MOTION youth circus group Bridgette has enjoyed performing in highly successful shows in Gluttony at Adelaide Fringe and has competed at BEND THE AIR - circus competition.

MICHELLE OLIVIER

Studio Manager - Administration

With a strong background in administration/management Michelle is your first point of call at PDPA. Much of what goes on behind the scenes is her particular responsibility . Michelle is mum to our Director so has been directly involved in PDPA since its inception.
