Our Teachers



   Chantelle has been dancing since the age of 5 studying all facets of dance including Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Classical Ballet and TAP. Chantelle has worked with choreographers such as Aidan Kane Munn (LWD), Daniel Jaber (ADT), Larissa McGowan (ADT), Jet Verne (choreographer for the stars, Urban Dance Centre), Michael Schwandt and many more. In 2012 Chantelle completed her fulltime training as a professional dancer .


Chantelle is a fully qualified Acrobatic coach, is qualified in Alixa Flexibility Training, Certified Aerial apparatus (silks, trapeze, aerial lyra)

and is a partner with CLI studios.  As Principal and Director of PIVOTAL DANCE, Chantelle is very passionate about ongoing training and improvement for both herself and her teachers with a focus on constantly improving the services provided to our students.

Along with directing and teaching with Pivotal Dance, Chantelle continues to work professionally with DING productions and provides various secondary schools with performance workshops.

Chantelle teaches Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Technique , Competition classes and  is senior coach for  ACROBATIC ARTS, AERIAL and Flexibility


In 2010 Michelle assisted Chantelle in founding Pivotal Dance.

With a strong background in business management as well as costume design Michelle today manages the administration of  the studio as well as coordinating the costume department , financial and other areas.  She is your first point of contact when making enquiries regarding classes.


Bethany began dancing at at an early age and  soon realized that it was her passion. She has a background in gymnastics, being chosen for the Junior Elite Program.


As a founding staff member of Pivotal Dance Bethany has been involved in teaching a broad range of styles including jazz, contemporary, hip hop and acrobatics. Ms Bethany is an accredited teacher in the highly regarded ACROBATIC ARTS coaching syllabus including the specialist PRESCHOOL ACROBATICS programme.  Bethany leads our preschool and junior programmes at both Brighton and Seaford as well as recreatonal U15/Open age classes in jazz, contemporary, lyrical and hip hop.  She teaches all age ranges with parents particularly appreciating her sensitive and patient  approach to our budding young stars.  


PIVOTAL DANCE is very pleased to have Mrs Susan Cooke leading our Ballet programme

As a LifeTime member of the RAD and with vast experience teaching the RAD syllabus Susan currently operates her own successful dance school and has previously served as the CHAIRPERSON to the RAD Regional Development Committee,  and now continuing as a member of the Board.

With a passion for excellence and the strong ethic of providing ongoing support for her students Susan leads the development of our RAD classes with a focus on providing  students of every ability with truly excellent tuition.  Students may either  choose the recreational model of taking a single lesson weekly if choosing to learn ballet for pleasure or to use it to develop appropriate technique in other classes, or, for the more serious student we provide the opportunity for students to take additional classes in order to prepare for sitting RAD exams.

Our RAD ballet classes commence with students from 4.5 yrs of age.


Zoe Charman has dedicated much of her life to the circus arts, starting training at an early age.  She has been involved in numerous performances, gigs and workshops - Performances include Music Box Circus (2005-2006), Lazy Circus (2008), Young Star Circus (Singapore, 2014) and Trapped (2015-2016). She has trained in circus at Cirkidz and CircoBats for over sixteen years, and recently attended an advanced training session at NICA (Melbourne) in tumbling, acrobatics, aerial silks and trapeze. Along with local circus company Vertical Insanity Circus, Zoe travelled to the 2017 Western Australia Circus Festival, where she trained and performed with circus artists from around the world.


Currently, Zoe is a qualified ACROBATIC ARTS as well as GFA (Gymnastics For All) Coach and has worked as an Acrobatics Trainer at CircoBats, Scotch College Gymnastics, St. Andrews Anglican Primary School, Creative Academy of Performing Arts, Essential Talent Performing Arts Academy and Pivotal Dance. With impressive experience, enthusiasm and dedication, she is a valued member of the Pivotal Dance Team!


Saskia began dancing at an early age and it has been our privilege to have her as part of the family at Pivotal Dance for the past 6 years. Saskia has trained extensively in Ballet, Jazz - various styles, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop and acrobatics. In 2018 we were thrilled to see her accepted into the ADT YOUTH ENSEMBLE and, at the same time commence her University training.

Since 2014 she has been training under the Principal as a teacher and she is now responsible for various age levels in both jazz and hip hop. Her supportive and yet disciplined approach with attention to detail make her an invaluable member of our team.

STEPHANIE SCHETTER - Acrobatic Arts, Aerial , Jazz, Contemporary

Stephanie joined the Pivotal Family in 2010 and since that time has trained extensively in RAD Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Acrobatics.

Since 2014 Stephanie has been training as a Teacher along with being an active member of our competitition teams .  Stephanie has now completed her training and is an accredited ACROBATIC ARTS COACH, now assisting with our SEAFORD Acrobatic programme and currently training in AERIAL.  Her caring and patient manner especially endears her to her younger students.

CARLY HAYES - Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical

Carly started dancing at the age of 2 doing Calisthenics at Reynella Braeview Calisthenics, completing 13 years training before being introduced to contemporary.

She undertook an additional 6 years of training in Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary and Musical Theatre at ACPA, ADT, Mitcham Girls High School, and in several national workshops around Australia. Being an incredibly committed student, Carly also completed both SACE 1 and 2 Dance  and completed a certificate IV in dance in 2016.

Carly was fortunate enough to be invited to perform at Disneyland Resort in Los Angeles, California alongside some incredible dancers from SA in 2016. This experience allowed her to be trained under some of the world’s best choreographers. Carly loves being involved with her students and is committed to growth. Carly will be teaching U8, U10 and U12 Lyrical at Brighton and U12 jazz and U12 lyrical at Seaford from 2018. She is currently studying a double degree of Early Childhood Education and Disability Studies at Flinders University.  

JASMINE GOLDING - Competition Team Coach Seaford,

In 2019 PIVOTAL DANCE is pleased to welcome Jasmine Golding to our team as Senior coach for our competitive teams at Seaford.

Jasmine has a very strong background as both a performer (too many to list!) and a Dance Coach - having worked with a number of studios throughout Adelaide in senior positions responsible for coaching competitive and recreational teams.

Training with AICD, CSTD and Adelaide College of the Arts, Jasmine has a focus on strong technical development and performance.

CLAUDIA MORI - RAD Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Technique

We are very pleased to welcome on to our staff Ms Claudia Mori.  Claudia has a strong background with RAD BALLET H

having completed all levels in Graded examinations and Advanced Vocational exams.  She has a special passion for contemporary dance and is now completing her Bachelor of Arts - Dance with Adelaide Centre for the  Arts.

Claudia assists our Ballet coach, Mrs Cooke with our Brighton classes and, from Term 3 will be caring for our Primary ballet students as well as our Open Age recreational Jazz and Contemporary classes.
